when we were in colorado we went to visit his papa–best known as great papa nowadays–and we took a family roadtrip up the poudre canyon to visit his old home and where nate grew up visiting as a kid.
we spent the day hiking around and exploring. it was so beautiful and the weather was hot, dry and perfect.
alexa and hayden like to take the camera and take pictures as much as we do lately.
this is my new camera–the yashica t4. it’s a pretty trendy 35mm camera… ugly, old school and takes the best pictures. photographer terry richardson is best known for shooting with it.
love this shot of nana and papa with all 10 grandchildren. so major.
rowan is not so sure about this colorado grizzly bear… he was a fan of his sweet and SO GROWN up cousin will!
this is one of my favorite pictures of the kids. they are just so precious and the background is to die for. so special.
diaper changing on the trails… ewww.
here is the full family–with great papa this time. so great to be all together.
had to stop at waffle house for some waffles and hasbrowns. one of the spots we miss from living in the south.
we also stopped by carquest auto parts store… nate’s family owns the building and his grandfather used to run the shop. its pretty nostalgic for nate and his sisters.
i’ve still got one more post to recap the trip, but that one will be with photos from our film cameras … still waiting to get the film back. so excited to see what we captured.
